LIFE - The Game
First of all, I'll mention that for the first time in a long time I actually made New Year's resolutions. Just simple stuff.
1. Write to my mom. An update, silliness, anything, really. Just to let her know I do think of her.
2. NO BUYING NEW DOLLIES. Clothes and stuff are ok, but I want to see if I can go a year without buying any new dolls.Which means any new kids who may or may not turn up have already been here for some time.
That is all.
But more importantly!
For a short while now I've had this really odd urge to play The Game of Life. .^^;; I don't know why, but it seemed like it'd be so much fun, so I really wanted to do it. But I don't know anyone who owns it, and an internets search for a PC version failed (which is, there is a PC version, but it sucks. it's pretty much a dumber version of the SIMS). So today I broke down and bought the board game. But since I don't have anyone to actually play with... I made the [mini] guys play. XD
And yes, I did have a moment where I looked around and noted the utter absurdity of the things I do. ::laughs:: XD But I was having fun, so I don't care. XD
So:
In the beginning, Tachi and Antonio took the career route, getting jobs right away - Tachi became a mechanic and Antonio, in a feat of pure LULZ, got the entertainer job. .^^ Günter and Quincy took the college path, putting them in $100,000 debt right away. But Quincy made the honor roll. =D When they finally got their careers, Quincy got accountant, and Gü got - get this - .... lawyer. XD XD
When it came time to pick houses, Antonio went with the expensive tudor style, while Günter picked the log cabin. Quincy went with the small cape house, and Tachi got the condo. Much later on in the game, Antonio was the only one to upgrade his house, blowing every bit of money he had (which wasn't much..) and taking out a HUGE loan, in order to get the penthouse suite. .^^;
Gü started popping out babies right away, ending up with a car-full of three. Brilliant Quincy only had one, while Tachi decided to adopt twins. Antonio managed to go the whole game without having a single kid, which suited him just fine.
Partway through the game there was an option to go back to school. Tachi decided not to do this, but Antonio took the chance, and in the end got to become a veterinarian. .^_^ Who knew he liked animals so much?
In the end, Gü totally cleaned house, winning the game with $2,620,000. Quincy came in second with $1,760,000, but Tachi was a very very very close third at $1,755,000. There was only a $5,000 difference between them! (that's the smallest unit of currency in the game!) And Antonio brought up the rear (take that as you will.. XD ) with $1,225,000.
He's very upset about that, by the way. But he just had to have that penthouse. .^^;
So that's how I spent my evening. XD
