No, what gets me the most is they had some guy on the news here saying that the biggest worry is depending on where it falls the technology might get into the hands of Russia or China. ... Yes, he actually said that.

OH NOES! Then they might spy on us!!!

Wait.

That's what we've been doing to them.

We pretty much deserve to be spied on, amirite?

Well, in the guy's defense, he did say the other big concern (and reason for making the fall public) is that the satellite is using toxic fuel and thus may pose a health hazard to the public.

More over, it sounds like the satellite didn't even respond to the HQ, so it might be just a dud and didn't take any pictures for all they know.

And of course the US is getting spied on. That's how international politics work. Everybody spies on everybody, the trick is not to let people know how the spying is taking place.
