For the win!

I gave blood today! =D
It's a big deal for me, 'cause I've been trying to donate blood for years, but every time I went they said I didn't have enough iron.
But this time, I win! =D
I proud me. ;P
And then they gave me cookies and juice. .^_^ But I started feeling a little bit sick, which I expected 'cause that's what happened last time I gave blood...which was about...nine years ago. .o_o That last time, I started feeling sick, so I got up to go to the bathroom in case I vomited (wow, that just made this the most pleasant post ever! .^^* ), but once I started walking I instantly felt better.
So I started feeling a little sick today, and stood up...but apparently I'm not as young as I used to be, because this time I didn't feel all that better. But I didn't want to say anything to the nurse because this infamous "stupid pride" I have wouldn't let me say I'm weak in any way. .-_- So I just said "yeah, I'm good" and left.
.... And then almost collapsed when walking down the hall. .o_o
Luckily, nobody was around at that point. .^^ I managed to keep my balance, but my legs were really wobbly, so I carefully made my way to a bench and sat down. Still felt a little sick, but managed to sit still until the dizziness went away. Then I went over to the cafe (the drive was held at what I hope will be my school soon, Oakland University) and ate a sandwich. ::nods:: Then went home, etc.
And that was my big, blood-giving adventure! =D
Still a little bit queasy, but I'll get better. ::thumbs up::
In the meantime, I learned that my blood type, O+, is the most common. AB- is the most rare. And O- can only receive O- type transfusion, which is harsh if you consider that's the third most rare. O+ can receive O+ or O- in a transfusion, AB- can get A-, B-, O-, or, of course, AB-. Type AB+ is the best off if a transfusion is needed, 'cause they can accept any other type, + or -.
Useless info, but I thought it was interesting. .^_^
Now to rest! And replenish myself. .^__^
