Sep. 28th, 2006 10:20 amEheh... I'm skipping class... .^^ Bad! Bad me! No donut!
But it's because I didn't know there was going to be all kinds of construction downtown, right where I drive through, so traffic was... well, non-moving would be an understatement. So I figured if I was going to be 20 minutes late for class anyway, may as well not go. (well, also because walking into class late is embarassing..) But if I make sure to read the text and the notes that my teacher always posts on the internet, I'll be ok. ::nod nod::
So on the slow drive here, I got to thinking. .^^ About Rikkaimyu, of course. And I thought...there's a lot of "how are they going to..."'s involved with this one, huh?
Like... is the actor who'll play Yagyuu going to play Yagyuu, or is he going to play Niou? .^^* Is the actor for Niou going to play Niou, or Yagyuu?
And then, what about Kirihara's eyes? I know a lot of people are thinking "they'll make him wear contacts!" for the red, but...I really don't think they will. It's not like any of the seats are that close anyway (though it would be kind of cool for the DVD...). My guess is that they'll have some fancy screen in the background that will flash red eyes to indicate the change. XD SO cheezy.
And MOST importantly.. Renji's actor has to walk around with his eyes closed! XD XD
Ok, so the way around this is either he just holds his eyes narrowed enough so they look closed, but he can still see, or leaves them open and everyone just pretends they're closed. (or they find someone made of pure awesome who can really sing and dance and jump and pretend to play tennis with their eyes closed. .^^* ) But I think it would be nice if, in the very least, when he's not walking or dancing or moving or doing anything where he has to see, he really does keep 'em closed. Because that's the mystery and aura of Renji.
And you know I WON'T SETTLE FOR ANYTHING LESS THAN PERFECTION! with my Renji. =3
Which, it randomly reminds me of a long time ago, when there wasn't a Hyouteimyu (there was such a time!? D= ), but the fans had begun to understand that they would be doing all the teams, a friend randomly ranted "they had better find the most beautiful man in in the WORLD to play Atobe!"
Now, I smile to myself and say... "And they did."
But I digress.
It got me to thinking about Renji in general, and how he really is a character who keeps his eyes closed all the time. I know that's not uncommon, by any means, but the difference is, with most characters (like Fuji, or Chichiri from 'Fushigi Yuugi' or Xellos from 'Slayers', or Gin from 'Bleach', etc.) they're only depicted as having their eyes closed all the time to show they're always smiling. It's not that their eyes are actually closed, but that they have a constant (usually devious) grin on. And nobody contests if they can actually see or not.
That is not the case with Renji. He really does just walk around with his eyes closed. It is acknowledged (although jokingly.. .^^* ), "can you actually see that?" The only other instances I've ever seen this in is if the character is truly blind, or in one case, for spiritual training. Renji's reason isn't like that, though he does have a reason.
It's just odd.
And I'd go on, but you know how much I can talk about this character. X3 'Cause he has my ♥. =3 =3 Hence the subject title for this entry.
Anyway.
I'll also say.. Tachibana had BETTER be in Rikkaimyu! It would just make so much sense to have Fudomine in it. (hell of a lot more sense than having Rokkaku, but whatever.. .>_> )
