Mrrr.......
Dec. 18th, 2006 11:42 amWell...there blows that plan.
I still was awake by 6am. .-_- And after rolling around for three hours, finally decided sleep was a lost cause and just got up. So I'm sure I'll be extra cranky for tenimyu tonight. .~_~
Iya! Seeing my Renji, no matter what, will make me CHOU GENKI!! *determined*
Though seriously, I wish I could sleep for 16 hours a day like the twits who showed up at the hostel the other night. All they've done since they got here is lay in bed. I wake up, they're in bed; I leave, they're in bed; I come back, they're in bed; I leave and come back again, they're in bed; I go to sleep and wake up, guess what... they're in bed. ::eye roll:: I bet if I went back right now (or will be in a few minutes), they'll be in bed.
Now I understand if they want to spend the time and money to fly to Japan, just to lay in a bed made of 2x4s in a shared hostel room all day, that's their prerogative. I KNOW, it's none of my business. But it just seems kinda dumb to me, and stupidity is one of my pet peeves.
Anyway, I made a breakthrough today and realized I actually understand some of the Japanese being spoken at me. I got asked some questions, and was able to respond! =D Of course, they were the same questions that have been asked of me twice a day since I got here, but today I was actually able to understand the words. .;^; Joy~!
After all the thinking to myself yesterday, and talking to the Aussie chick at the hostel last night, and more thinking to myself today, plus the e-mails to Hi-chan (we've finally got a meeting set up, BTW), I momentarily forgot that when I face the public here, when I get outside my bubble, it has to be in Japanese. There's no other way.
So these understandings are good. I may have actually learned something after all these years of studying. .^^*
And then I proceeded to make a complete-fucking-idiot of myself twice in a matter of 30 seconds. ::headdesk::
Bah. Anyway.
Pictures!!
A busy street in Ginza. See all those buildings? Those are all stores that you need to make six-figures to even look at.
Excuse me, do you have the time? Why yes, just let me take a look at my BIG GIANT WATCH IN THE SKY.
Kimono obis. And yes, you're reading that correctly; the one on the left costs $220. .>_> Later I'll tell you about the $15 pint of strawberries.
My $3 moccachino. It was about three-inches tall. .@_@ So in retrospect, a $3.50 cafe mocha at Starbucks isn't that bad.
And most importantly...
CAKE!! .^_^
And in just a few more hours...
Rikkaimyu!!!
