Who knew a tiny little cut on the finger would bleed so much?? .o_o

I cut my finger on a thin strip of metal at work the other day. Like... three days ago (it had to have been Sunday, 'cause I had Monday and Tuesday off). It bled a LOT. It's just a tiny cut, perpendicular to the nail, but there was SO MUCH BLOOD. .o_o So I ran to the first aid kit, trying to not leave a trail of blood as I went, and stuck a band-aid on it.

Later in the evening, I took the band-aid off. It had stopped bleeding. Good. It was starting to heal, and I don't like bandages, so I left it uncovered.

Next day I get up, shower, no blood, all is fine. Then when I was making my coffee and bagel, I noticed it was bleeding again. .... A lot. ::sigh:: So I cleaned it and stuck on another band-aid.

Again, later I took the band-aid off, and it seemed better again. No bleeding. Good. I kept the band-aid off. And it was fine the rest of Monday, and all of Tuesday, and a good most of today (Wednesday). Had even started scabbing.

Then, damn it, I smacked my hand on the counter at work, and it started bleeding again. A LOT. .~_~ And I didn't have any kleenex or paper towel or anything to stop it with. All I could think of was to grab some tissue out of the garbage (it was what they stuff inside purses (...and shoes) at stores - we take it out when someone buys a purse and just throw it away, so our garbage bins always have lots of this tissue paper. but it's clean... enough....... I hope) and use that. But then I was stuck, because I was in the middle of ringing someone up, but I suddenly didn't have any use of my hands. .^^*

Miraculously, out of the blue the lady I was ringing up pulled a band-aid out of her purse, saying she cut herself at work all the time, so always had some with her. .^,^ She was like an angel! =3

So, applied band-aid, finished ringing, all was well.

tl;dr version: I cut my finger three days ago and it won't stop bleeding. .o_O
