Eeeeeh...

I have so much to say, and just... every time I sit down in front of the computer I lose all desire to blog...

So, let me tell you about my close encounter with a brick wall from the other day! =D

The road in my neighborhood is all ice. Like... all ice. So I was going to work the other day, and on my way out of the neighborhood I just... started sliding around. .o_o Pretty much lost all control of my car, couldn't turn at a bend in the road, and ended up in somebody's front yard. Problem was, it was the one yard in the entire neighborhood that has a low brick wall separating it and the house next to it. And, you guessed it, my poor little car made a B-line for that brick wall. .-_- So I'm sliiiding, heading straight for it, and yelled out "NOOOOO DON'T HIT IIIIIIITTTT!!!" And wouldn't you know... I stopped literally, an inch short of hitting that wall.

::SIGH of relief::

So I was safe in that respect. But next came the oh-so-fun task of trying to get back on the road. The yard was down a teeny-tiny little hill from the street, but even that teeeeeny-tiny little bit of a hill, when everything is ice, made just backing up impossible. I tried putting it in reverse, but my tires just spun in the snow. I tried pushing the car, but... uh, I'm a weakling. Then after a little contemplation (and fighting the urge to just call my dad and have him tow me out with his truck), it occurred to me that... my tires were spinning in the snow. A lightbulb lit up in my brain. So I got out, and dug at the snow under the tires until there was grass. I did this for all four tires, far enough back to get me back onto the street. And voila! It worked.

I gave my beloved Nakamoto-kun much petting and praise after that. .^^ He's a good car, even if he has issues.

And after all that, I still had time to stop for something to eat and only be 3 minutes late for work.

Such is my life.


In other news... As you can see, I've followed along and made the move to IJ. Even though I found I could still post in GJ, and last time I checked I still had all my icons.. There was some weird warning about they're on some backup database, and that scared me. So I've moved over here, for now. I don't know if it'll be permanent or not though...


And in other, other news.. Friday is Tachi's birthday~! =D Can you believe my little squeeful love love 日本ボイヤ has been here a year already!? ♥

We will, of course, be having a party for him. .^_~
