So I'm starting to get an itinerary plotted out for my mini trip to Toronto. Yes, I realize it's still almost a month away, but I like to be prepared. .^^ And I have nothing else to do with my brain.
Since it's about a 4.5 - 5 hour drive there, if I went the day of the interview, I would have to leave here at, like, 4:30 in the morning, meaning I'd have to wake up at 2am, and that wouldn't give me any time to get lost (and we all know I'll get lost). I don't especially think it'd be a good idea to do an interview after waking up at 2am, so the natural course of action is to go up the day before, and get a hotel/full night's sleep.
So of course, I'm making a teeny vacation of it.
The plan is to leave here early in the morning on the 18th. That should get me in Toronto a little before noon, where I've found a free parking lot at a subway station. I'd rather leave my car there, instead of driving all around, having to pay for parking everywhere I stop. (I'm sure the subway fares will be cheaper than $10 here, $10 there, etc.)
After parking, I would like to stop at the St. Lawrence Market to grab some food for the day. Hopefully I can find enough to keep me fed for the day.
.......... Gods, Szayel Aporro is hot. >3
Oh, sorry. Bleach dub is on; I got distracted. .^^;
Anyway.
After the market, I think I'll hit up Yonge-Dundas Square, which is called "Toronto's Times Square." Looks cool. And close by is what is arguably The World's Biggest Bookstore, so I must check that out too. .^_^
After that... I don't know. I've spent days looking for things to do in Toronto, but haven't really come up with anything else. I considered seeing the CN tower, but it costs $22 to go up, and I can't really decide if it's worth the money; especially after I've already seen Seattle's Space Needle, which is pretty much the same thing.
Ideally, I'd like to be in the hotel by 6-7pm. Then I'll do some reading, reviewing, and relaxing (yay for alliteration? .^^ ), and early to bed, so I'll be good to go on the 19th, the day of the interview.
That's the plan.
P.S.
And yes, I am aware that I start pretty much every entry with "So." .^^;
