nyur-hur....
Dec. 16th, 2009 06:19 pm::shake shake shake shake shake::
Just got off a phone interview with yet another school in Japan. I'm still shaking.
Though I think I answered the questions pretty ok, I'm not feeling all too confident. But we'll see, I guess. Is it good or bad when an interview only takes nine minutes?
Last night I was thinking about what I'll do if nobody ever hires me. I really don't want the $50,000 going to school cost me to go to waste. But what else can one do with an East Asian Studies major? Whatever I end up doing in life, I want all that work to count.
So I was thinking maybe I'd go on and get my Master's degree (I know, solve the school money problem with more school... .>_> ), majoring in Japanese. If I can't be an English teacher in Japan, maybe I can be a Japanese teacher in America.
Though I really don't see how that would be financially possible, unless they stop making me pay back my student loans and, uh.... give me more student loans... .>_>
Just a thought. But knowing me, I'll probably end up working at Target forever. But at least I'll be the person at Target who knows a lot of shit about Asia.
Actually... I'm not limiting my job search to Japan. Honestly, I really wouldn't mind working in Korea or China either... Or Germany. >3 But I've heard most European countries won't hire English teachers unless they have a lot of experience. .... Which I can get in China or Korea, yes? =D
*sigh*
Well, at least I have the day off tomorrow..
