The end of OOO...
Aug. 26th, 2011 07:25 pmIf anyone is watching, or plans on watching Kamen Rider OOO, well, I'm going to talk about it... again... and there will probably be spoilers here. So if you care about that, skip this. If you don't, read on. =D
Sunday morning will be the final episode of Os, and before then I want to put down my predictions. Just to see if I'm right, and so if I am I can say "See, I told you!" XP
In last week's episode, the second to last one, one of Ankh's most important core medals – the one that holds his consciousness, if I'm understanding correctly – was cracked. It's looking very obvious that he's going to "die" or disappear or whatever happens to a sentient pile of coins. He even said himself that he doesn't have much longer, but ran off to save Eiji anyway.
So after thinking about it, I've narrowed it down to four possible endings for Ankh.
1. He dies. The end.
Of course this is possible, but I think it's highly unlikely. In the end of Kamen Rider Den-O (which I just finished yesterday), the Imajin were supposed to disappear, but didn't because of some made up reason. ;P In Kamen Rider W, Phillip did actually disappear, but then a year later (in the show) found a way to come back. I'm getting the impression characters don't stay gone in the Rider franchise, so I think even if Ankh does die/disappear, it won't be for good.
2. Since Ankh and Shingo have access to each other's memories and have been sharing a body for so long, they'll merge into one person.
This would be interesting.
3. Ankh will die/disappear. Eiji and Hina will get together and get married. Years down the road they'll have a baby who is mysteriously blond and has red feathers. They'll name him Ankh.
I like this theory more than anyone would guess I would. I do actually like the Eiji/Hina pairing, since I adore Hina, and do think they'd make a cute couple (and not just because it would make her name Hina Hino). Plus, if Ankh were reincarnated as their baby, then Eiji would canonly love him. =3 However, I don't think this will actually happen.
4. Eiji will do something to keep Ankh around.
Be it sacrificing himself, his power as OOO, or duct-taping the damn core medal back together.
I think that covers all the bases.
And I know it sounds like I'm cheating using both 'Ankh will die' and 'Ankh won't die' as predictions, but I'm allowed to do that. =P
In two more days, we'll find out. You'll know almost as soon as I do, since I'll probably come on here and whine forever about it ASAP.
