I remember when I was in middle school, and they would do these tests to determine where we, the students, excelled, and what kind of path we should take in the future. I always got placed in the sciences, them saying I should go for careers like a doctor or nurse or biologist or...something (of course they always went for the big things, never wanted to consider that some of their students may be really smart but really really lazy.. =x ). I was pleased with and always considered that. But once I got into high school I learned I just didn't have the ambition for such things. So while I was still fascinated by science, I found myself looking more at the arts. I was in the drama club and excelled in my literature classes (while completely failing my math and science classes freshman year... .^^* ). I still enjoyed learning the sciences, but never put forth the effort to do any of the work.

Then comes me today. Now in college, I want to major in languages and literature. These are arts. But I've decided...whatever degree I get first (the associates, I believe), I want it to be for a science. This may or may not be because I'm close to a degree in social sciences... But yes, this is what I want.

.....

Of course, it occurs to me now that having a degree in sciences may interfere with a degree in arts later on. But whatever. I'll just get two then! XP
