I got a ticket. D=
Well, I generally get [at least] one ticket every year, and while most former years it was for speeding.. .^^* .. last year was the stupidest of all - I got one for the cracks in my windshield. (I have yet to pay for that one, and probably never will if I have anything to say about it, because it really is just stupid - me having a crack in my windshield isn't hurting anyone)
I am proud to say It's taken over nine months before another ticket came along, and this time I wasn't even in my car when I got it.
.>_>
See, when one is going to a school that doesn't provide adequate parking for its students, the last thing one ("one" in this case being ME) wants to do when trying to get to class is drive around the parking lot for an hour, looking for a place to park. And since I just happened to have my Grandma's handicap parking permit in my car (for when I drive her around..), I just parked in one of those special blue spots. Upon getting back from class, there was the parking lot policebitch lady looking at my car.
Damn it...I should have just kept walking by...
But being the idiot that I am, I stopped at my car, and she did the usual "license and registration please" crap and after forever I got my ticket. She informed me as she gave me the ticket that they were, in fact, checking all the handicap permits for such misusage.
Someone obviously needs more excitement in their life.
She also said something about the oh-so-poor guy in the car next to me who was in a wheelchair and had the right to use such a permit.
But see, one should never use such "feel sorry for this person!" tactics on me, because it just makes me resent them. So in my mind I think, if he's in a wheelchair, shouldn't he have to park further away, since he doesn't actually have to do any walking?
But I digress.
I'm not actually angry at the situation; I know I was in the wrong. But damn it, give your students a place to park! And this wasn't a case of there simply wasn't any place close to park - I mean there literally were no empty regular parking spots (while only three of the handicap spots were being used).
So, I took a chance.
And lost.
Aha...go figure.
p.s.
Completely OT, but I had this horrible dream last night that I had Gunter with me somewhere, and he was in his tote bag and something fell on it and I checked and his nose had broken off! .;o; .;o; .;o; It was the worst dream ever!! =(
