And last night's dream was even worse. .o_o

I dreamed I went to Japan with my cousin Jessica and some other friends (although Karla is the only other person I remember seeing there..). At some point on the second day there I learned that everyone had gone out someplace and had a ton of fun and never bothered telling me they were going or inviting me along. So when I found out they went I got really upset that they didn't invite me, and Jess and I ended up having this HUGE argument about it. She stormed off, heading back to our hotel room, which was on the third or fourth floor of this old inn.. I was going back there too, so I followed, but she had gotten to the elevator before me and was, you know, pushing the button, trying to get the doors to close so I couldn't get on. The doors had started to close before I got there, but when I pushed the 'up' button on the outside of the elevator, they opened back up, so I got on. It was just the two of us, and of course we'd just had this huge fight so she wouldn't talk to me, so I was just looking around the elevator and it was really really old. There were a whole bunch of levers near the top, that I guess were supposed to be how it worked before more modern buttons were installed. But then the whole elevator started swaying. .o_o Like...drastically. To the point where we were getting thrown from side to side - it was like a bad carnival ride. Then it came to our floor and stopped, but the doors didn't open, and most of the lights went off. We were terrified and trying to get out, and Jess was yelling to hit the 'emergency' button, but the elevator was so old there wasn't an 'emergency' button. .>_> And it was still rocking a bit and we were so scared. .;o; Eventually I just grabbed the doors and tried forcing them open and they did, so I jumped out and grabbed Jess and pulled her out and just as we both got onto the floor I saw the elevator drop. .o_o But as it did the doors closed again, so I wasn't sure if it really did or if I'd just imagined it. Then a second later the doors opened again, on their own, and the elevator car really was gone, having crashed to the ground. And Jess and I just fell to the floor, clinging to each other and crying our eyes out because we had so narrowly escaped plunging to our deaths.

Then I woke up, with a really bad feeling. A feeling like...even though I recognized it as a dream, and even though we lived in the end...it still shouldn't have happened. It still hurt and scared me.
