More Kuroshit talk.
Aug. 27th, 2010 01:38 pmThrough episode 9.

Oh, Claude. You are a crazy bastard, and I kind of adore you.
So far, my theory about Claude not really liking Alois came to be pretty much true, seeing as how he called him low-class, then brutally killed him.
And after that I had some really mixed feelings about Claude. It was a seriously dickhead thing to do, and... I don't know, I was, like... mad at him for it.
But his antics since then have totally re-endured him to me. .^^ And yes, they are "antics*."
I find it very interesting that it's gone from Claude and Alois being the antagonists, to just Claude being the real bad guy. He played Alois like a fiddle! But what's strangely refreshing is that he's acting like a real demon. Yeah, Sebastian is a demon too, but this whole time he's not acted like one very much. Sebastian puts being a butler before being a demon, but Claude doesn't have the patience for that shit. .^^ Or something.
While on the surface I get that Claude is doing all this to get his hands on Ciel, I'm also wondering if something didn't happen between him and Sebastian in the past and this is like some sort of revenge.
(Which prompted this on 4chan. I lol'd. [edit] And then later, this. .^^ [/edit] )
My other theory, about Hannah and the triplets (or as Mew says, "the three twins") being non-human, is also right, though it's unclear on just what Hannah is. She may be a full demon herself, but then why follow Claude's orders? The triplets would have to be lesser demons, or something else entirely, because they're clearly not as powerful. Also, the way they don't speak to anyone but Claude or each other, and that's only in unheard whispers, is kind of adorable. .^^ (They don't even have a seiyuu cast.)
Now, remember when I said "Who else could defeat a demon butler but another demon butler?"
Yeah.
Again, it's not that I want to see Sebastian killed! But it's tiring when a character is undefeatable all the fucking time. And I'm sure Sebastian will get back at Claude, with interest. But for now, it's nice to see the "second-rate copycat" on top.

In several ways.
Also, this:

They're flirting.
* ETA: By "antics" I mean the guy is quirky! With the random dancing, origami, playing around with his glasses**, and crocheting, etc. He acts like he's so straight-laced, then he'll just bust out with weird. It'd oddly cute.
** I also think something is up with the glasses. He always takes them off when he's being especially demon-y. Hmm....
